The Blessing Of Prayer

How must God feel every Sunday when, all over the nation, so many people gather in churches but do so little actual praying? Congregations make time in the weekly schedule for everything from basketball leagues to weight-loss classes, but they can't seem to find a slot for a prayer meeting. The Lord waits to bless His people with His abundant supply, but we don't take the time to open the channel. What a terrible epitaph: "You do not have, because you do not ask God." (James 4:2)
God is drawn to prayer. He delights in communication with us. Prayer releases His blessing into our lives.
